Opening salvo - starting point

You have heared the politicians and media pundits take their cheap shots. It appears that having been a student once now makes them an expert in education, at least on the surface. The problems in education have always been diverse and complicated. As the population has grown, and the mores have changed, teachers have been given ever more responsibilities. Because the problems are difficult and complex, education is an easy target for the politician and pundits to dismiss with simplistic comments. There by, they avoid the real evolving needs of education in our towns, cities, states, and country. So lets spend some time with the ones who actually  do the work of teaching, the Teacher.
